TIBET |

Progress and Impermanence…

Where one sees progress, the other sees impermanence. Tibet Today is a story of economic progress and changing Tibetan life.

.

.

The Idea of Progress is the theory that advances in technology, science, and social organization inevitably produce an improvement in the human condition.

.

.

That is, people can become happier in terms of quality of life through economic development, and the application of science and technology.

.

.

Impermanence expresses the Buddhist notion that all things and experiences are inconstant, unsteady, and impermanent.

.

.

Everything is in constant flux, things are constantly coming into being, and ceasing to be.

.

.

.

Since nothing lasts, there is no inherent or fixed nature to any object or experience.
